About prayerletters.us
prayerletters.us is run by Technically Sound, LLC, a company dedicated to serving missionaries by taking care of some of the administrative details involved with being in the mission field.
Our inspiration comes from the beginning of Acts 6:
Now in these days when the disciples were increasing in number, a complaint by the Hellenists arose against the Hebrews because their widows were being neglected in the daily distribution. And the twelve summoned the full number of the disciples and said, "It is not right that we should give up preaching the word of God to serve tables. Therefore, brothers, pick out from among you seven men of good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we will appoint to this duty. But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word."
In much the same way as the apostles shouldn't have been the ones passing out food to the widows, we don't believe that missionaries should be the ones doing the printing, duplicating, and mailing of their letters to their supporters.
We created prayerletters.us around the idea that by sending letters on behalf of missionaries, we could free up a significant chunk of time for them, and at the same time mail their letters more quickly and economically than if they were sending them themselves.
